About the Event
This International Women’s Day, King’s College London Women in Leadership and Young Media Professionals Foundation want to honour inspiring leaders for an unmissable celebration of women’s achievements.
The goal of this two-day summit is to bridge the gap between young adults and industry leaders who are championing gender equality in the world.
The two hosts, King’s College London Women in Leadership and Young Media Professionals Foundation are led by Saloni Dahanukar and Ritika Agrawal respectively; two young women who strive to make a strong impact in the workplace.
WIL at King's seeks to emphasize on the impact made by women leaders in the world, empower their leadership journeys and unite ambitious women who share a passion towards gender equality and sisterhood. WIL is one of the fastest growing, student run initiatives at King’s and we are proud to be working towards the values of women empowerment and leadership.
This year, WIL has partnered with Ritika who is the Founder of Young Media Professionals Foundation (YMPF), a platform that connects and builds a community of young talent in media, marketing, and advertising. Through YMPF, her mission is to support the student community and streamline their career trajectory through networking & mentorship programs especially during unprecedented times like Covid-19.
The event will take place across a span of 2 days on March 6 and March 7. It follow the structure of a conference wherein women leaders from different industries will deliver talks in specific time slots.
This summit aims at advocating the values of gender equality, feminism and women empowerment to bring to attention the amazing impact these women leaders have made in their specific workplaces.
